Intellectual Property and Asset Ownership
A common misconception in affiliate marketing is that using a plugin to display products grants the user a right to the intellectual property (IP) of the merchant.
This is incorrect.
DripBox is a software platform; it is not a content provider or a licensing agent.
Purchasing or using DripBox does not grant you any license, permission, or legal right to use copyrighted images, trademarks, logos, or proprietary descriptions belonging to Amazon, its vendors, or any other third-party marketplace.
Your Responsibility as a Content Creator:
When you add an image or a product description to a DripBox, you are asserting that you have the legal right to display that asset.
Most affiliate networks, including Amazon Associates, have very strict rules regarding how their “Marks” (logos) and “Product Assets” (images) can be used.
For instance, Amazon Associates policies restrict how product images and other marketplace assets are used, stored, or displayed. Always use only methods permitted by the relevant affiliate network.
The Risk of Unauthorized Hosting:
If you download an image from a manufacturer’s site and upload it to your own WordPress Media Library to use inside DripBox, you may be infringing on copyright law and violating your affiliate agreement. DripBox provides the “Box” to hold the image, but we do not provide the image itself.
To remain compliant, always ensure you are using authorized methods to obtain your media.
We strongly recommend using only content that you own, have licensed, or are otherwise permitted to use under the relevant affiliate network’s policies.
DripBox is not responsible for trademark or copyright infringement resulting from user-supplied third-party content used in violation of applicable law or affiliate-network policies. You must ensure that every asset in your DripBox is either owned by you or used under a specific, valid license from the original creator or the affiliate network.
